Who-ray! Doc wins 3 gongs

TELLY hit Doctor Who added three more top gongs to its already bulging trophy cabinet last night.

David Tennant, who plays the timelord, and ex co-star Billie Piper, clinched best actor titles at the TV Quick and TV Choice bash.

The BBC1 sci-fi drama also picked up the best loved drama award.

Billie ? who played Rose Tyler ? admitted she was over the moon to get an award, but confessed she had panicked about whether giving up her role was the right decision.

She said: “It could be the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life.”

But she said her replacement Freema Agyeman would prove to be a huge draw.

Noel Edmonds beat Channel 4 colleague Paul O’Grady to best daytime show prize with Deal Or No Deal?

Noel said: “It’s just fantastic when I hear my name and the word award in the same sentence.”

But Lily Savage star Paul took a special Ten Years At The Top award.

Little Britain was named best comedy and the best entertainment show went to Strictly Come Dancing.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! was best reality programme.

The BBC’s Waterloo Road was voted best new drama and Channel 4’s Supernanny was best factual show.

The ceremony, hosted by Harry Hill, was held at The Dorchester Hotel, in London’s West End.
