It was a good night for Doctor Who at the National Television Awards last night.
The born-again series bagged three gongs - including most popular drama - whilst in the soap battle there was a bit of a surprise.
EastEnders was named most popular serial drama, beating off Corrie and Emmerdale - but the Street's Anthony Cotton did win the gong for the most popular newcomer.
Looking gorgeous, Billie Piper accepted her award for most popular actress for her role in Doctor Who and made a touching nod to her ex husband, Chris Evans.
She said she wanted to thank her "lovely boyfriend", a not so mysterious "Mr E" and Chris Eccleston "for being a fantastic doctor and teaching me so much".
Mr Eccleston wasn't there to collect his own gong for most popular actor because he was suffering from flu.
In other honours, The X Factor did well, with Sharon Osbourne being voted the most popular expert on TV and the show getting the nod for the most popular entertainment programme.
There was no surprise when Little Britain was named most popular comedy programme and Ant and Dec most popular entertainment presenters.
And it was a good night for Jamie Oliver, who bagged the most popular factual programme award for Jamie's School Dinners, and was given a special recognition award.
He refused to comment on how he got the black eye he was sporting, but denied it was from being drunk.
