There were also two wins for 'EastEnders': Shane Richie (Alfie Moon) was named Best Soap Actor and his co-star Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) won the award for Best Soap Newcomer.

Christopher Eccleston won the Best Actor award for 'Doctor Who', while Julie Walters was named Best Actress for her performance in 'Ahead of the Class'.

'Desperate Housewives' was named Best New Drama and 'Footballers' Wives' won the Best Loved Drama award.

The award for Best Entertainment Show went to 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' won the award for Best Reality Show.
