Jeremy Clarkson: He's cool, apparently
It's official: Jeremy Clarkson is cool.
Well, that's according to 11 and 12-year-olds. The popularity of his TV show Top Gear seems to have propelled the presenter and writer to the forefront of what kids regard as hip.
He was beaten only by the current Doctor Who, David Tennant, and Love Island presenter Fearne Cotton.
His job driving fast, top-of-the-range sports cars means that he beats mainstream heartthrobs Beyonce and Orlando Bloom.
Even Ant and Dec couldn't beat Clarkson.
But as manly and outspoken as Clarkson maybe, squeaky-voiced popstar James Blunt is not.
Despite having army credentials and a world-famous model as a girlfriend, Blunt was found to be considered seriously uncool in the pizza firm's poll of 1,000 youngsters.
Other famous people branded with the 'square' brush were the Blairs and Prince Charles.
The Daily Record reports that even Will Young and royal show jumper Zara Phillips failed to escape the uncool label.
Tennis star Andy Murray and cricket ace Freddie Flintoff can hold their heads up high among children however as they were amongst the sports idols considered to be cool.
